How to plan your festival lighting
Start with the front of the house. A thoran (toran) or jhalar hangs from the top of the gate, wall or balcony; sizes are written height × width, for example 4 ft × 30 ft. Measure the width you want to cover, then choose the drop: 4 ft suits gates, compound walls and balconies; 10 ft and above covers a full house or building front.
Pixel thoran or 12V thoran?
- Pixel thoran (5V RGB): every bulb changes colour, so the whole thoran plays moving designs. Our 4 ft sets come with a controller, power supply and 100+ designs.
- 12V thoran: one colour (warm white, or mix colour) for a classic golden or rainbow look. Runs on safe low-voltage 12V.
Add outlines and pillars
Use 12V single colour strings for windows, railings and outlines, and the 12V chaser for running effects. Wrap pillars and trees with the rope pixels or the RGB pixel belt.
Order early
Orders are handed to the courier within 3-5 days of order and payment, and delivery time after that depends on your location. Order a week or two before the festival to be safe.

- Which LED thoran size is right for my gate?
- Measure the gate width and pick the nearest width; a 4 ft drop suits most gates and compound walls. For example, a 20 ft wide gate takes a 4 ft × 20 ft thoran.
